It must be not-mutt week this week on Corgimutts.  Here’s one from deep in my family archives.  My dad snapped this of two of Corrci’s littermates the day we picked him up from his breeder in 1993.  I believe that’s Putnam Amanda’s Folly on the right, the littermate that his breeder kept as a show dog.
I was ten years old and this long-researched and long begged-for puppy was my prize for managing not to die of lyme disease the year before.  For me, it’s rescue dogs all the way now, but if you do decide to go the breeder route, this is the way to do it - not meeting a van full of designer puppies in a dark alley, not going to a pet store - instead having long talks with a breeder about what their goals are and whether you’re the right home for one of their dogs, joining their waitlist for a puppy (and if there’s no list, why are they making them?), then going to meet one or both parents, see the litter, see the home where they’re born and the yard where they learn to romp and play.   These dogs all had great lives from beginning to end, just the way they all should.

And, my god, that bushy tail.  Edit:  He’s been adopted.  No wonder!

This 4 year-old cutie is looking for a home in Enfield, Ct.  At the shelter, they think he’s a chi-corgi, but unlike most chihuahua-corgis I’ve seen, he’s not the least bit funfortunate looking.  No pinchy little face or portly oversized body… a 15-pounder who’s athletic enough to hop a 36-inch baby gate. Maybe some kind of small terrier got in there?  Or sheltie, like this one?

If Corgis are the mounts of the faeries, are Huskorgis their draft animals?

Beansprout is maybe a Corgi / Border Collie mix puppy, and is looking for a home in Sussex, NJ.  Why isn’t he home with you yet?
(Click here for a library of mutts with that mix.  Spectacular, right?)

Ferdinand is four months old now, lives in Alabama, and will be transported to a forever home near Stroudsburg, PA.  (Your home, maybe?).
His foster family thinks he’s maybe a chi-corgi, and he was only 8 pounds at 3 months, but I’m seeing some pug in the forehead wrinkles and the width of chest.  Pug, or maybe puggle, just to make it an all-around designer-dogmill-breeding experiment run amok.  Still, he came out cute cute cute, didn’t he?

Nared the Corgi-Pom needs a foster home or adoption near Edmonds, WA.
(Edited to add the link to his Petfinder!  Had some post-upload problems tonight!)
I was also going to add that I’m always a sucker for these luxurious-coated little mutts.  Nared is 15” high at the withers (I love when rescues give heights - mutts can be so deceptive in their sizes), less than a year old, and full of energy.  They suggest he’d make a great running companion for an active owner.  I’d suspect they’re right.

Non-mutt interlude, but too cute not to share: My friend’s brother’s Corgi, Edward.  Alone at the dog park, he kept trying to play with the dog statue.

Merlot is a slightly mysterious puppy.  Casanova Corgi came under suspicion when she didn’t seem to be attaining the size of the cattledog / blue heeler mix that was initially posited.  She’s just 10 pounds, and is in Woodbury, NJ, if you want to take her home and find out what you get.  She’s almost got the mousey look of some of the cutest chi-corgis, doesn’t she?

Loki is another shorty husky.  I’m not so sure that what they’ve got there is a corgi mutt, but he sure as hell is cute, and it sounds like he lucked into a great life in DC after being a rescued-pup.
